Weare seeking a proactive, highly organized Operations Executive (M&E) to coordinate and oversee end-to-end mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair operations. This role is responsible for driving technical job requests from initial fault assessments and site surveys through to vendor quotation, safety filings, on-site execution, completion documentation, and final billing. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal engineering management to ensure all M&E works are executed safely, cost-effectively, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- M&E Operations & Site Coordination: Respond promptly to M&E fault reports, breakdown notices, and client site survey requests. Conduct site inspections and assess the scope, urgency, and technical requirements of electrical, air-conditioning (ACMV), pumping, and piping systems.
- Quotation & Commercial Sourcing: Source, review, and negotiate multiple competitive quotations from specialist M&E suppliers and sub-contractors for parts, equipment, and services. Evaluate lead times, technical specifications, and warranty terms before preparing detailed client quotations.
- Procurement & Safety Documentation: Manage the issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and compile all mandatory safety documentation, including Risk Assessments (RA), Permits to Work (PTW), and safe work method statements. Coordinate with HQ management and procurement to confirm commercial terms and delivery schedules.
- Site Supervision & Quality Control: Coordinate, supervise, and monitor specialist sub-contractors and technical personnel during M&E servicing, replacement, and repair activities. Ensure full adherence to technical specifications, client quality requirements, and workplace safety standards.
- Handover & Billing Closure: Perform post-repair inspections to verify fault rectification. Prepare, submit, and follow up on Certificates of Completion (COC) and handover documentation to ensure timely job closure and prompt invoice billing.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in M&E maintenance coordination, term contracts, or technical facilities service delivery.
- Sound practical knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical installations (including ACMV/HVAC, switchboards, power distribution, pumps, and plumbing).
- Proven experience handling commercial quotations, subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and job costing.
- Practical familiarity with Risk Assessment (RA) compilation, Permit to Work (PTW) protocols, and site safety management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface effectively with clients, facilities managers, and trade specialists.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Relevant safety or statutory M&E certifications (e.g., bizSAFE, SSSC/BCSS) will be an advantage.
