Operations Executive (Grocery Fulfilment) — Ambient & Fresh

We are doing things that have never been done before in our business, which means standard processes don't exist yet—you will help create them.

About the Role

As our Operations Executive, you will own the end-to-end e-commerce grocery fulfilment operations across a multi-temperature (Ambient and Fresh) environment at our distribution center. You will manage the entire lifecycle of stock—from the moment it arrives at our inbound dock, through inventory management and outbound picking/packing, to the final handover to our Last Mile Transportation team.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Operations

• Lead all inbound operations, including receiving, putaway, replenishment, inventory control and inventory reporting.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliation and inventory governance.
• Monitor inventory health, stock ageing, damages, expiry management (FIFO/FEFO) and replenishment to support outbound demand.
• Ensure timely receiving and putaway to maximise storage capacity and operational efficiency.
• Analyse inventory trends and provide reporting to support operational and business decisions.

Outbound Operations

• Lead all outbound operations, including order release, picking, sortation, packing, consolidation, staging and handover to the Last Mile Transportation team.
• Plan and coordinate outbound workflow to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and dispatched on time.
• Manage daily order priorities to achieve operational SLA and customer service targets.
• Monitor operational bottlenecks and implement recovery plans to maintain dispatch performance.
• Ensure seamless coordination and stock handover to the Last Mile Transportation team.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Business teams to support demand planning, promotions, service recovery and in-stock availability.
• Coordinate with multiple Distribution Centres (DCs) to stock transfers and operational readiness.
• Work closely with Planning, Supply Chain, Last Mile Operations, Technology, Automation and FSQ teams to deliver daily operational requirements.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement.

Multi-Temperature Operations

• Manage operations across Ambient and Fresh fulfilment environments.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, temperature control and product handling standards.
• Maintain product quality and operational compliance throughout the fulfilment process.

People Leadership

• Lead and develop frontline operations teams to achieve productivity, quality and safety targets.
• Plan manpower deployment based on operational demand.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to build operational capability and succession.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify process gaps and implement sustainable solutions to improve productivity and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, workplace safety, food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support operational readiness for new processes, automation and system enhancements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in warehouse, e-commerce or grocery fulfilment operations, with experience leading operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, inventory management and outbound fulfilment.
• Experience managing operations in Ambient and Fresh (multi-temperature) environments will be beneficial.
• Proven ability to work with multi-functional stakeholders, including Business, Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory, Last Mile Operations, Technology, Automation, FSQ and multiple Distribution Centres.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse automation is an advantage.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume e-commerce fulfilment environment.
