As an Engineer, Operations Excellence (OPEX), you will lead complex, high‑impact improvement initiatives at the local level, requiring deep insight into end‑to‑end business and operational processes. Success in this role depends on a balanced blend of business acumen and industrial knowledge, strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and the disciplined application of structured problem‑solving and Six Sigma methodologies.
You will translate business priorities into sustainable performance improvements, drive data‑driven decision making, and embed a continuous improvement culture across operations.
Our Team
You will be part of the Datacom and Specialty Solutions Division (DSS) and work closely with Operations, Warehouse, Quality, Digital Transformation, Finance, and Global OPEX teams to drive measurable operational and financial impact.
What You Will Do
- Lead complex, cross‑functional improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, A3, PDCA)
- Drive root cause problem solving to eliminate chronic issues and shift teams from reactive firefighting to proactive prevention
- Coach and develop Yellow Belt, Green Belt, and Lean practitioners to strengthen continuous improvement capability
- Align OPEX projects with business strategy and KPIs, ensuring benefits are quantified, tracked, and sustained
- Translate operational challenges into data‑driven improvement opportunities using statistical analysis
- Support process digitization and automation initiatives in collaboration with digital transformation teams
- Ensure compliance with Six Sigma standards, governance, and company policies across improvement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline
- Relevant experience in manufacturing operations, business analysis, or operational excellence / continuous improvement roles
- Experience supporting or leading cross‑functional improvement initiatives in an industrial or operational environment
- Strong capability in structured problem‑solving approaches such as A3, DMAIC, and PDCA
- Solid understanding and practical application of Lean principles, including flow, pull, waste elimination, and value stream mapping (VSM)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with competence in statistical analysis
- Clear and effective communication skills across both technical and business environments
- Ability to train, coach, and develop Yellow Belt, Green Belt, and Lean practitioners
What Will Put You Ahead
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- At least 3 years of dedicated Operational Excellence experience
- Strong proficiency in Minitab for statistical analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics or reporting tools
- Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization platforms
- Experience supporting digitalization or automation initiatives
