Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Management

Directly Managed Venues

  • Primarily, but not limited to, Tanjong Beach Club Directly Managed Venues portfolio will evolve over time
  • Develop clear team structures with specific Area of Responsibility (AOR) and Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) mapping, including the formation of the Venue leadership team
  • Work with the Board to develop goals (commercial and non-commercial) for the venue with clear Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Be directly responsible and lead the teams to achieve the OKRs and goals set out for the venue
  • Drive the annual planning and budgeting process for each venue and ensure that the budget is achieved
  • Set and communicate clear operating standards for the venue
  • Ensure that the teams execute based on these operating standards

Non-directly Managed Venues

  • Light support for Non-directly Managed Venues (typically venues under Chef Partner)
  • Provide light-touch operational and commercial oversight
  • Act as TLBG's representative to monitor overall business and operational performance
  • Serve as a governance and controls layer to identify and mitigate mismanagement risks
  • Escalate material issues to the Chief Operating Officer and Board where required

Revenue and Guest Relations

  • Lead the Guest Relations Team to provide guest relations support for venues within the Group and also VIP concierge support for group VIPs
  • Optimise venue's revenue management via (i) SevenRooms process optimisation and best practices, (ii) bi-annual menu engineering and pricing review, and (iii) sales & events pricing and process review
  • Strengthen Group Sales & Events capabilities including developing an outbound sales process

Operational Systems

  • Support the Systems & Analytics team as the subject matter expert to provide oversight and maintain best practice for operational systems used in venues (e.g. Point of Sales (POS), mobile ordering, Kitchen Display System (KDS), reservations, etc.)

Openings and Project Management

  • Covers both overseas and local openings
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business goals and company standards
  • Oversee the project teams, including architects, designers, contractors, and vendors to execute projects on time, within budget, and deliver quality and design outcomes
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualisation and design development to construction and final installation
  • Support and mentor the opening General Manager (GM) to ensure that operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training are in place
  • Support and mentor the opening GM to ensure a proper commercial lens and analysis is applied to menu design, pricing, opening hours, staffing, and other operational matters
  • Support and mentor the opening GM 6 months post-opening to ensure that venue opens and operates well
  • Include support for management contract pitches and feasibility study support for new venues (local and overseas)
