Our client is a High-Frequency Trading firm, who operate across multiple asset classes in many major international markets. They are seeking an Operations Analyst to grow their operations function and would suit a candidate who can thrive a fast-paced environment.
Some of the Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily trade booking, position and P&L reconciliations, settlement issues, and corporate action events.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of trades, positions, cash balances, costs, and P&L attribution.
- Manage all operational aspects across the trade lifecycle, from execution through settlement.
- Liaise with counterparties, custodians, and prime brokers to onboard new business and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
- Design and implement automated solutions using VBA, SQL, and Python to streamline workflows and apply data management best practices.
- Document processes, enhancements, and solutions to ensure effective knowledge transfer and team alignment.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- Minimum 3 years of mid-office or operations experience, preferably within a buy-side environment (hedge funds, proprietary trading) or prime brokerage.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong product knowledge across listed equities, ETFs, derivatives, and FX.
- Familiarity with Asian securities markets and relevant regulatory frameworks is preferred.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, with hands-on experience using VBA, SQL, and Python.
- Proven experience driving process improvements and designing automated solutions, ideally in a trading environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, assertive, and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
