Our client is a well-backed investment management platform with a growing presence in Singapore. As the business continues to expand its public markets capabilities, they are hiring an Operations Analyst to join its investment operations team.
This is a broad, hands-on role suited for someone earlier in their career who wants to sit closer to the investment process. The role will cover post-trade operations, portfolio data, reporting, and day-to-day support to the investment team within a lean and growing setup.
Responsibilities for the Operations Analyst - Public Markets:
- Support end-to-end trade lifecycle activities across public markets, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement follow-up, NAV review, reconciliations, P&L, MTM, cash, position and break resolution
- Maintain accurate trade, cash, position and portfolio data across internal PMS, OMS and portfolio accounting systems
- Work closely with portfolio managers, investment team members, brokers, custodians, fund administrators and vendors to resolve trade, settlement, reconciliation and reporting issues
- Support portfolio data, performance and risk-related outputs, including management reporting, investment reporting and investor reporting where required
- Assist with data quality checks and reporting accuracy as the business continues to upgrade its internal data platforms
- Use investment systems, data aggregation and analytics tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, OMS / PMS platforms and other portfolio reporting tools
- Support process improvement initiatives across operations, reporting workflows, data controls and system usage
- Provide broader investment support within a lean team where operations covers more than standard BAU processing
Requirements for the Operations Analyst - Public Markets:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting or a related field
- Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment operations, middle office, trade support, portfolio operations or fund operations
- Prior experience within an asset manager, hedge fund, family office, multi-family office or public markets investment platform is preferred
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, reconciliations, settlements, NAV, P&L, MTM and position breaks
- Exposure to public markets products such as equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives or multi-asset strategies
- Equities experience is preferred, especially long/short equities
- Experience with PMS, OMS, portfolio accounting systems, portfolio data, performance reporting, risk reporting or investment reporting would be advantageous
- Familiarity with systems and tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Aladdin, Charles River, SimCorp, Geneva, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or similar would be beneficial
- CFA or FRM progress would be viewed positively
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to manage tight timelines
- Comfortable working in a lean team with broad responsibilities across operations, reporting, data integrity and investment support
