Global Banknotes Operations is a business unit within Global Banking Operations. Global Banknotes Operations is unrivalled in the scale and scope of the locations that it operates from with multiple locations in Europe, the Americas, and Asia / Pacific. The Global Banknotes Operations business unit in APAC is a small team of people with the main place of work being a remote vendor location away from the main offices. The team are an integral part of the end-to-end operations fulfilment production line and part of a much larger Global team that supports the Banknotes Operations business.
The APAC Banknotes business has been attracting investment in the product and continued growth in the client base. This business growth has had the incremental effect of establishing the need for additional employees and responsibilities to be required. Individual contributor role that demonstrates leadership qualities. Ensures quality service and effective and efficient operations support for the assigned area's internal business partners and/or external customers/clients. Performs all the functions required at the Sr. Ops Operation Analyst level and typically acts as a workflow coordinator and/or a subject matter expert. Able to prioritize and distribute daily work to meet deadlines and goals. Demonstrates a good working knowledge of the processes and procedures and the ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Job Description:
• Responsibility to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the Global Banknotes Operations outsourced vault facility. Functions include onsite vendor management, managing daily transaction fulfilment duties, managing transaction discrepancy processes, and reporting and analysis of workflow and procedural adherence
• Provides guidance to employees within the business regarding procedural, technical, and/or operational changes. Incumbents have full working knowledge of the operations environment acquired through experience in an operations environment and on the job training
• Working hours are subject to operational requirements and shift arrangements, including daytime schedules based on a 9 hour shift arrangement (e.g. starting from as early as 7:00am to 12:00pm)
• Role may require transition to evening/night shift coverage (typically 3:30pm to 12:30am) in the future, subject to business readiness and operational needs
• Incumbent must be flexible and willing to support different shift arrangements when required
• Working Location: Offsite location – Kakit Bukit
Required Skills:
• At least 2 years working experience in fields such as supply chain management, shipping and transportation, imports and exports, or commercial bank operations • Is very organized and methodical
• Is very meticulous and detail oriented
• Is highly motivated, self-disciplined, and has a high sense of ownership and responsibility
• Is energetic, willing to learn, and able to adapt
• Is able to work in a team environment
Desired Skills:
• Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize
• Good communication skills in both verbal and written English (mandatory)
• Spoken Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an advantage
• Proficiency in Japanese (spoken and/or written) is an advantage
• Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Accountancy, or related disciplines is an advantage
• Proficient PC knowledge and familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and AI productivity tools such as Copilot
• Good time management, people skills, and sound business acumen
• Possesses good common business sense and is able to exercise good judgment
Employment Status: 12 months contract with possibility of extension or conversion to permanent role.
