Operations & Commercial Lead – Maritime Services

We are partnering with an established maritime services organisation to appoint a senior professional to lead its Singapore operations.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role combining ship agency operations, client management, commercial development and team leadership, with responsibility for the overall performance of the local business.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day ship and port agency operations in Singapore
- Ensure smooth coordination of vessel calls and delivery of port services
- Oversee vessel husbandry, crew matters, documentation and other port requirements
- Manage and develop relationships with shipowners, ship managers, charterers and maritime stakeholders
- Drive business development and identify opportunities to grow existing and new accounts
- Manage customer relationships, quotations and commercial negotiations
- Oversee budgets, operational costs and overall business performance
- Lead and develop the local team while maintaining strong service standards
- Manage operational escalations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Approximately 10+ years of relevant maritime experience
- Strong experience within ship agency / port agency operations in Singapore
- Previous managerial or team leadership experience
- Good understanding of vessel husbandry and Singapore port processes
Required Skills
- Commercially minded, with exposure to client management, business development or negotiations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable taking ownership across both operational and commercial matters

- This could be an excellent next step for an experienced Operations Manager, Agency Manager, Port Agency Manager or senior ship agency professional looking to take on broader business leadership responsibility.
