Operational Excellence Analyst (12 months)

The Company

We are supporting a leading client in the Financial Services industry, and we are seeking a skilled Business Improvement / Operational Excellence Analyst. This is a meaningful opportunity for an analytically strong and improvement-focused professional to contribute to a broader transformation agenda, working across international operations and engaging with senior stakeholders across the business.

The Role

Reporting into the Transformation function, you will take ownership of identifying and delivering process improvement initiatives while maintaining strong data governance and reporting standards.

You will be equally comfortable structuring ambiguous business problems from scratch, designing automation solutions and presenting data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. This is a role for someone who owns outcomes end to end, from problem definition through to measurable impact, and who thrives without needing constant direction.

• Structure and frame ambiguous business problems independently, diagnosing root causes using data, process understanding and stakeholder inputs.
• Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities, building business cases and leading implementation through to measurable benefits realization.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and eliminate waste across processes.
• Identify automation opportunities and translate business requirements into workflow automation and system-driven process improvements.
• Drive the use of AI and low-code/no-code platforms to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions aligned to business outcomes.
• Design KPI frameworks and performance visibility tools that enable leadership to make informed decisions.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of BI dashboards and performance reports.
• Establish and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance.
• Lead cross-functional projects end to end, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

• Build strong relationships with process owners, commercial teams and senior leadership, championing change and communicating progress effectively.

Your Profile

• 5 to 8 years of experience across business process improvement, data governance and analytics.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to independently structure and solve ambiguous business problems with minimal direction.
• Hands-on experience with process automation and AI solution design including low-code and no-code platforms.
• Strong analytical capability with experience designing KPI frameworks and translating data into actionable business decisions.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage credibly at senior levels.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
