Operation & Trading Specialist

The Operations & Trading Specialist role offers broad exposure to Japanese equity trading, fund operations, accounting processes, compliance, and risk management within a hedge fund environment. Working as part of a small team, the position provides a long-term career path with the potential to progress towards a future Chief Operating Officer position. A hybrid working arrangement is available, with 2 to 3 days of working from home per week.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor Japanese equity trades

• Oversee fund operations, reconciliations, and settlements

• Review net asset value, profit and loss, and fund accounting processes

• Support compliance monitoring and risk management activities

• Coordinate with brokers, service providers, investors, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong interest in investments, operations, compliance, and hedge fund management

• Detail-oriented and proactive approach, with the willingness to take ownership in a small-team environment

• Applications are welcome from both junior and experienced candidates, including fresh graduates

• Experience in financial services, operations, middle office, trade support, fund accounting, or compliance will be an advantage

• Strong Excel and data management skills are preferred
