Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Operation Supervisor to oversee daily port operations. The role involves coordinating vessel berthing, supervising cargo handling activities, and ensuring smooth yard and terminal operations. You will work closely with shipping lines, contractors, and internal teams to maintain efficiency, safety, and compliance with port regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead coordination of vessel berthing schedules to optimize port capacity and minimize delays
- Supervise cargo handling activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations
- Oversee yard and terminal operations to maintain smooth workflow and operational standards
- Manage customer relationships by effectively coordinating job requirements and resolving operational issues
- Supervise and coordinate all work performed by the Operations Team in alignment with company policies
- Maintain accurate records of all port call communications and correspondences, ensuring proper filing and archiving in the company's shipping system
- Ensure timely delivery of completed job files to relevant departments to facilitate accurate invoicing
- Assign vessels and operational jobs to team members fairly and transparently to balance workload and maximize productivity
- Motivate and support the Operations Team, demonstrating flexibility to work long and irregular hours as operational demands require
- Collaborate with designated operations executives to coordinate all operational activities and ensure successful job completion
