Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction activities from start to finish.
  • Monitor project timelines, budget, and resources, ensuring targets are met.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Manage on-site construction teams, assigning tasks and ensuring productivity.
  • Resolve technical and contractual issues promptly to minimize project delays.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and attend coordination and client meetings.
  • Ensure all site operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and MOM guidelines.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification:

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications or training in project management or workplace safety (e.g., PMP, WSQ, CSOC, or Safety Coordinator certificate) are an advantage.
  • BCA-recognised qualifications are preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing building, infrastructure, piling works or civil engineering projects in Singapore.
  • Familiarity with local construction methods, materials, and government regulations (BCA, MOM, NEA, PUB, LTA, etc.).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other project management tools.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance (QA/QC) processes, safety protocols, and site inspection procedures.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

Other Requirements:

  • Familiar with WSH Act and MOM regulations.
  • Must be willing to work on-site and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence (preferred for site travel).
