Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead the full spectrum of Client's Landscape Maintenance Team daily operations, ensuring smooth project execution, high-quality service delivery, and strong client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for managing operational teams, optimizing workflows, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, and driving operational excellence across all landscape, arboriculture, and horticulture service projects.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Sales, Accounts, and CRS teams to ensure resources are aligned and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest service standards.You will play a crucial role in supporting business growth through operational efficiency, staff development, and continuous improvement.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Operations & Site Management

Oversee daily operations across multiple landscape maintenance sites.
Ensure service quality meets contract requirements and company standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions when needed.
Develop and improve operational processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.

2. Team Leadership & Workforce Planning

Lead, mentor, and manage supervisors, field staff, arborists, and landscape teams.
Plan manpower deployment, scheduling, and resource allocation across projects.
Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and staff development initiatives.
Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-oriented work culture.

3.Project Execution & Service Delivery

Oversee planning, execution, and completion of maintenance and landscape projects.
Ensure works are delivered within timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors for seamless project delivery.
Monitor project progress and address operational risks proactively.

4.Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the main operational contact and escalation point for key clients.
Manage client feedback, resolve service issues promptly, and maintain satisfaction.
Build long-term partnerships through consistent service excellence.
Liaise with external stakeholders including consultants and authorities when required.

5.Budget Control & Resource Management

Manage operational budgets, cost control, and efficient resource utilization.
Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Track usage of tools, machinery, and consumables to prevent wastage.
Support management in forecasting operational needs and cost planning.

6.Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
Lead safety audits, toolbox meetings, and training initiatives.
Promote a culture of safety and operational discipline across all sites.
Ensure all works meet quality and sustainability standards expected in the industry.

7.Recruitment & Workforce Development:

Support recruitment efforts, including interviews and onboarding of operations staff.
Develop training and development plans to strengthen team capabilities.

8.Arborist & Tree Management Oversight:

Oversee tree inspection, pruning, and maintenance programmes.
Review and support preparation of Tree Assessment Reports.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on arboriculture matters.
Ensure correct tree pruning and cutting methods are applied by staff and contractors.

9.Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Track operational KPIs and prepare regular reports for management.
Identify improvement opportunities in workflow, manpower, and service delivery.
Collaborate with Sales team on tenders, proposals, and operational planning.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities.

QUALIFICATION AND CRITERIA

1. Educational Background & Work experience:

Degree or Diploma in landscape, horticulture, arboriculture, or related fields.
At least 6 years of experience in the landscape or arboriculture industry, with supervisory/managementexposure.

2. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong analytical skills, meticulous, and a good problem-solver.

3. Adaptability and Time Management:

Able to multi-task and manage a fast-paced operational environment.

4. Technology and System Proficiency:

Comfortable using systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

5. Process & Compliance:

Strong understanding of operational workflows, safety compliance, and SOP adherence.
