Job Scope & Responsibilities
1. Vessel Operations & Port Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and manage vessel schedules to ensure efficient port rotations and on-time performance within the Port of Singapore.
- Arrange, confirm, and amend vessel berthing applications with PSA, Jurong Port (JP), and other relevant terminals in accordance with port operating procedures.
- Prepare and submit Arrival Advice (AA), Arrival Declaration (AD), Pre-Arrival / Pre-Departure documentation, and Port ClearanceCertificates (PCC)
- Liaise closely with PSA/JP operations teams, port authorities, and terminals on daily vessel activities, including loading, discharging, shifting, and re-stow planning.
- Arrange and coordinate pilotage and tug services and ensure compliance with Harbour Craft and port safety regulations during berthing and unberthing.
- Monitor company vessel movements, vessel status, and port progress to ensure operational schedules are adhered to.
- Ensure correct execution of container loading, discharging, andstowage plans, complying with safety, stability, and terminal operating requirements.
- Investigate, document, and report any operational incidents, such as container damage, mis-declaration, short/over landed cargo, or delays.
- Prepare and submit Shipping Instructions (SI), ABP, EDI declarations, and manifest submissions to PSA and relevant systems within prescribed timelines.
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for terminals, port authorities, agents, and relevant maritime service providers.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders including Customer Service, Operations, Port Staff, Warehousing, and Planning teams to ensure seamless end-to-end operations.
- Any other task assigned by management.
2. Reporting, Monitoring & Operational Control
- Maintain accurate and timely operational records (weekly, monthlyand yearly)
- Monitor vessel performance, port turnaround time, and operational efficiency indicators.
- Report operational delays, irregularities, incidents, or non-compliance issues to the Manager and assist with corrective follow-up actions.
- Strong understanding of Singapore port operations, PSAprocedures, and MPA requirements.
- Familiarity with EDI systems, terminal portals, and vesseldocumentation workflows.
- Ability to manage time-critical operations in a 24/7 portenvironment.
- Effective communication and coordination skills with localauthorities and service providers.
- High attention to detail, accountability, and ability to workunder pressure.
