Job Description

Role Purpose:
Responsible for the patching and vulnerability management of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Linux servers, ensuring uptime, performance, and compliance in line with bank standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the uptime, performance, and compliance of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).

  • Collaborate with Design, Change, and Run teams, as well as Application and Development teams, on OCP requirements, standards, optimization, and troubleshooting of all features and tools.

  • Participate in technical discussions to provide feedback and share ideas for cost savings, technology adoption, and operational efficiency.

  • Plan and execute deployment, installation, upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery tests.

  • Provide L3 support for Red Hat OCP, including system administration, performance, availability management, and change implementation.

  • Support deployment and configuration fixes for Red Hat OCP.

  • Perform assessments and health checks of existing solutions and provide best-practice recommendations to L1/L2 teams.

  • Provide technical assessment and advisory on patching, system upgrades, and migration of OCP environments, including operators.

  • Assist or escalate configuration, container, and OCP service issues in collaboration with IT teams and vendor support for timely resolution.

  • Work with other technical teams (network, Wintel, IT Security, storage) and vendors to support system upgrades and maintenance activities.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for design, configuration, usage, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery of all OCP environments.

  • Develop scripts to manage the OCP environment.

  • Manage and lead enhancement projects.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience with Red Hat OCP, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Image Registry, Microservices, and DevSecOps in an enterprise environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of Container Platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing priority environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

  • Collaborative mindset, elevating team results over individual contributions.

  • Experience working in SLA-driven environments.

  • Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented, and dynamic environment.

  • Willingness to work weekends as per roster and provide on-call support during weekdays as needed.
