Our mission at OGP is to build tech for public good.
To accomplish this, OGP does everything from building better apps for citizens to automating the internal operations of public agencies. Our role is to accelerate the digital transformation of the Singapore Government by being a space where it can experiment with new tech practices, including new technologies, management techniques, corporate systems, and even cultural norms. Our end goal is that through our work, Singapore becomes a model of how governments can use technology to improve the public good.
Projects we have worked on include:
- A suite of systems built to enable Singapore's national vaccination campaign for Covid-19. This includes informational sites, appointment booking systems, and records management systems.
- An open repository of all the Singapore Government's public data. It helps people understand the data using visualizations and articles, and provides real-time APIs for developers to use.
- A mobile app alternative to parking coupons. It lets users pay, extend, and refund their parking sessions just using their phones.
- A form builder tool for agencies to self-service and create online forms that capture classified data, with the goal of replacing paper forms.
The goal of the Corporate Operations Officer is to support the Corporate Operations function in OGP to set up the systems, tools and day-to-day operational needs to provide the best environment for them to be effective. You will work closely with the Head of Corporate Operations function as well as the wider Corporate Operations and Corporate Team to achieve this goal. You will report directly to the Corporate Operations Manager.
Principal responsibilities and duties:
The long run goal of OGP is not just to be a high performing team itself, but to take our success and transform the Singapore Government as a whole into a modern high performance organisation. This role is not about passively keeping the team running well, but about proactively exploring, implementing, and propagating practices so that the Singapore Government becomes the best place where the best people can work on the most important problems.
