Join a leading global wealth management institution and be part of a team supporting client onboarding and due diligence activities. You will play a key role in conducting adverse media screening and ensuring clients meet the bank's risk and compliance requirements.
Your new role
- Conduct adverse media / negative news screening during client onboarding.
- Review screening results and identify potential risk concerns.
- Investigate and eliminate false matches in line with internal policies and guidelines.
- Liaise with Client Advisors and internal stakeholders to obtain information and resolve screening cases.
- Prepare and maintain accurate screening documentation and audit records.
- Escalate high-risk findings to Compliance where necessary.
- Support process improvement and control enhancement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
- 1-3 years of experience in Client Onboarding, AML/KYC, Compliance, Due Diligence, or Screening; Open to fresh graduates.
- Experience or knowledge of adverse media, sanctions, or name screening would be advantageous.
- Strong research and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage high volumes of information and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- English proficiency is required; Mandarin reading and writing skills are required to review Mandarin-language news articles and client-related information during screening activities.
