Job Summary
Perform electrical system design and analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and arc-flash studies. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize systems, ensure quality standards, manage budgets, and support maintenance and commissioning activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct conceptual design and perform load flow, short circuit, and arc-flash analysis studies to optimize electrical systems
- Specify electrical equipment and design electrical infrastructure to meet project requirements
- Calculate and set protective relay parameters to ensure system protection and reliability
- Configure and commission electrical systems and equipment in the field to meet operational standards
- Collaborate with engineers and technical staff to design, develop, test, and improve engineering products and processes
- Monitor project expenses and ensure all costs remain within the allocated budget
- Perform regular inspections of electrical equipment and schedule maintenance or repairs to maintain system integrity
- Assist engineering teams and staff with technical support and problem resolution
- Inspect inventory levels, report discrepancies, and order materials to maintain adequate supplies
- Produce CAD drawings accurately according to specifications for design and documentation purposes
- Evaluate products and processes to enforce quality assurance standards and standardization
- Calibrate and troubleshoot electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills
