Job Summary:
The On-Site Applications Engineer will be based on the customer site and will oversee matters related to Flowserve's mechanical seal products. The role includes troubleshooting, customer training, performance reviews, and ensuring agreed KPIs are achieved.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all assigned activities at customer location. This includes all correspondence, open orders, drawings, recommendations, proposals, failure analysis, engineering/service support, provision of training, closing active quotations, coordination activities, establishment of KPIs with target setting and conducting quarterly and annual performance meetings.
- Provide timely reports to management and customers on KPIs and other correspondence as necessary to manage the overall health of the customer partnership.
- Provide on-site analysis of failed seals and equipment and perform an in-depth root cause failure analysis (RCFA) as required, working with all departments at the assigned site to collect data for RCFA activity.
- Make appropriate selection of seals and support systems including design features and materials of construction based on knowledge of Flowserve product lines, specified operating conditions, rotating equipment specification and customer requirements
- Work with workshops and plant personnel to track customer orders and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Provide field support for seal assembly, disassembly, and installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Requirements:
- To ideally come in with 2 years of customer contact experience relating to the troubleshooting and design development for customer requirements.
- Candidates should ideally be experienced in mechanical seals or relevant rotating equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings with a strong technical background with customer focus.
- Willing to station onsite in refinery/chemical plant environments.
- Local Singaporean / Singapore PR are most encouraged to apply
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
- This position is also open to fresh graduates holding either a diploma or a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft application and Power BI programs.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks to produce deliverables.
