Main Purpose
To support the physical oil trading team with a focus on distillates operations, regional markets and bunker operations. Assist day to day post deal coordination of oil shipments and bunker deliveries, to ensure contract execution runs smoothly. Provide commercial/market information to the trader, as necessary. Co-ordinate shipping/logistics in order to effect the trade successfully.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum 3 years of energy commodity related experience, with exposure to physical and financial markets, from operations, risk management and trade finance.
- Minimum degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Japanese is essential to support communication with Japanese counterparties.
- Proficient in with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI. Knowledge of Python preferred.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn about oil products and shipping operations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to be flexible and work to deadlines and under pressure.

- Good coordination and planning skills to liaise on tight logistics deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in tracking oil product movements and deliveries in Asia Pacific.
- Support communication with Japanese counterparties, including translation of emails and calls.
- Help maintain accurate records of shipments and transactions. Attend operational meetings to build knowledge and provide language support.
- Assist senior team members with documentation and administrative tasks.
- Liaise with Inspector, agent, ship brokers, trade counterparties, storage terminals and internal department to ensure smooth physical operations. Minimize cost and pursue optimization of operations.
- Establish good working relationships with counterparties.
