Oil Broker

Role & Responsibilities

1. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of commodity products and market dynamics, share daily data curves and market reports with clients, ensuring they are well-informed.

2. Work as a team to build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including Hedge funds, trading houses, and oil majors.

3. Build strong rapport with clients through regular, proactive communication, understand clients business objectives and provide customized broking solutions to meet their needs.

1. Deliver timely and precise broking services, accepting and executing orders on behalf of the client.
2. Provide complete support to the senior brokers for the smooth running of the desk
3. Provide live quotes and pricing updates to traders and clients via messaging systems and continuously monitor market conditions and maintain accurate pricing spreads.

7. Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments

8. Responsible for assisting with the onboarding of any new client relationships and maintaining existing client relationships, assisting with support processes as required by colleagues, and engaging and updating clients.

9. Assist with ad-hoc reporting, research tasks, and client communications and support the desk in various operational activities as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

. Good communications in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) are required

. Diploma or Bachelor's degree holder (no experience is welcome)

. Must have good people and relationship-building skills with traders

. Highly energetic, and motivated and enjoys meeting people to develop the business

. Previous sales experience is preferred

. Fast learner with strong interpersonal and communication skills

. Preferably quick-witted and numerically inclined

. Ability to work effectively across time zones and manage multiple priorities

. Able to work effectively within a team and able to work well independently

. Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills

. Good tolerance for stress in a fast-paced environment

. Able to work well under pressure
