Reporting Lines & Key Stakeholders
This role reports to the Head of Broadcast and works closely with the broader talent post production team, as well as client-side agency teams and brand stakeholders.
KeyResponsibilities
- Analyse all received material — separating by parts, checking sync, and initiating the decoupage process with a careful eye for quality and continuity
- Lead the end-to-end editing process: assembling commercials, refining scene details, cuts, and montage to meet the elevated aesthetic standards of high-end beauty clients
- Lay audio on soundtracks, ensuring sound and vision are in perfect sync throughout
- Prepare offline edits and submit for client approval, managing feedback rounds and implementing adjustments efficiently and accurately
- Prepare final copies for broadcasting, ensuring all technical and compliance requirements are met
- Insert film ID information on clapperboards and follow broadcaster-specific formats to ensure timely and compliant delivery
- Save and archive master files to the server in an organised and consistent manner
- Conduct reference research to inspire and complement creative editorial decisions, staying current with beauty advertising trends and visual styles
- Support the broader post production team across a variety of formats including TV commercials, digital campaigns, and global versioning
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in offline editing, ideally with a portfolio that includes beauty, personal care, or premium FMCG advertising
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere, including proxy workflows, media conversion, and all core editing functions
- Strong working knowledge of post production tools including Flame, Nuke, After Effects, Maya, Final Cut, Arnold, and Photoshop
- Solid understanding of cinematographic and editorial techniques as applied to beauty and commercial content
- Familiarity with a wide range of video formats and their appropriate uses across broadcast and digital platforms
- Proficiency in material conversion workflows to optimise for fluid editing — using Media Encoder, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent tools
- Experience with material selection, subtitling, clapperboard insertion, audio sync, and copy preparation
- Working knowledge of broadcaster delivery requirements, with experience ensuring compliance to avoid transmission failures
- Proactive, organised, and deeply committed to project deadlines and deliverables
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills — comfortable working directly with clients and creative teams in attended sessions
- Resilient and adaptable under pressure, maintaining quality and composure across tight turnarounds
- Genuine commitment to continuous learning — staying current with evolving tools, trends, and best practices in post production and beauty advertising
