Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is eager to kick-start their career in Wealth Management.

This is a multi-discipline trading support / middle-office role, and will provide hands-on experience in trading and investment analytical and administrative support with exposure to different products such as Equities, Bonds, and Structured Products (SP), FX & Precious Metals, Funds and Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM). You will also be involved with the integration of digital skills into trading and investment process.

In this role, you are expected to:

  • Perform middle-office tasks such as checking trade details, trades reconciliation with back-office and counterparties, deals input, and preparing report where applicable;
  • Assist with product term-sheets and deals updates and provide trade fixings related tasks for FX and SP desk;
  • Provide deals updates and details to relevant stakeholders (i.e. RMs and clients) in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Perform all post-trade tasks including updating and up-keeping of deals details and maturity for both FX and SP desk;
  • Manage Bank's nostro position as well as forwards positions reconciliation for the FX&PM team;
  • Handle administration and operational matters including opening/closing of accounts for DPM team and also regular client reporting for managed accounts;
  • Prepare trades and ensure seamless post-trade execution for DPM accounts. Ensure DPM portfolios are in line with their respective investment guidelines;
  • To troubleshoot and enhance or create new automation to existing/new tasks;
  • Participate in preparing presentations and materials for client and management meetings;
  • Provide support to HK counterpart when required.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum qualification of Diploma or University Degree or equivalent in Business/Banking/Finance/Economics and ideally with Computer/Financial Engineering or related disciplines
  • Comfortable with numbers and analytical tasks. Strong Excel knowledge is required and computing/programming skills (VBA/ Power BI) are a plus
  • Detail-oriented with good organisational skills
  • Experience in dealing room or back-office environment preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure, autonomous and curious
  • A strong team player to part of the wider products and investment team who is willing put in the extra mile
