Manager (Assessments)

[What you will be working on]

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all assessment processes and systems and ensuring the highest standards of integrity and efficiency. He/ She will play a key role in coordinating and managing assessment-related activities, maintaining compliance with institutional policies, and enhancing the overall assessment experience for students and staff.

Key tasks include the following:

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee the administration of all assessments in the polytechnic, ensuring a smooth and efficient process and that assessment integrity is adhered to
  • Ensure all assessment processes and systems comply with relevant institutional policies and academic standards.
  • Supervise a team of staff on matters related to assessments including printing room operations
  • Ensure effective and timely communication of assessment matters to academic staff and students, and handle queries on assessments
  • Identify and implement improvements to assessment processes, policies and systems to ensure best practices, improved efficiency and enhance assessment integrity

[What we are looking for]

The candidate should have strong knowledge of assessment processes and systems and academic policies, and should have experience in providing and reviewing functional specifications and conducting User Acceptance Test (UAT) for assessment systems.

  • Relevant qualification(s) with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience working in a higher education environment, particularly within a Registrar's Office.
  • Possess the following essential skills/attributes:

1) Highly motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic

2) Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity

3) Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

4) Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

5) A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

6) Adaptability and a willingness to embrace change and innovation
