(OCI) Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect to lead the design and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions integrating OCI and on-premises environments. This role will be responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure platforms that support enterprise workloads, ensuring seamless integration between legacy systems and cloud-native capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Design

• Design and implement scalable, secure architectures on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Define hybrid connectivity patterns between on-prem data centers and OCI.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Develop high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies.

Hybrid & On-Prem Integration
Architect secure connectivity using:

• VPN.
• Load balancing & traffic management.
• Identity federation & IAM integration.
• Migrate and modernize legacy workloads from on-prem to OCI.
• Optimize hybrid performance, latency, and cost.

Infrastructure & Security Governance
Implement best practices for:

• Network segmentation.
• Identity and access management.
• Data protection and encryption.
• Threat and risk assessments.

Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
Support security reviews and architectural risk assessments.

Platform & Operations Enablement
Work closely with DevOps and Cloud Operations teams to:

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Establish monitoring and observability standards.
• Support automation and CI/CD integration.

Guide teams on cloud-native design patterns and optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and cloud engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Proven experience designing hybrid cloud architectures.
Strong background in on-premises data center environments.
Deep understanding of: Networking concepts (VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancers), High availability & disaster recovery design, IAM and security architecture.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
Ability to conduct architecture and technical risk assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

• OCI Architect Professional certification (or equivalent).
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure is a plus).
• Experience leading cloud migration programmes.
