Job Description

The Occupational Therapist helps people with physical disabilities,mental problems or learning disabilities, teaching them to perform day-to-daytasks in order to function independently. Daily tasks include activitiesnecessary for self-care, being productive at work, school, home or play andleisure. He/She uses activities with specific targets to help these people toparticipate in activities of daily living. He/She assesses clients to determinethe nature of the disorder. He/She designs treatment programmes based onclients limitations, lifestyle and capabilities. He/She documents patients'progress through treatment plans.T

You will facilitate the rehabilitation of these patients, helping themregain their independence and improving the quality of their lives. Thisensures that they are not lost for words.

Job Requirements

• Assess patients to determine treatment needs.
• Develop, plan and implement individual treatment programmes for patients.
• Develop plan and implement group treatment programmes for children as needed.
• Monitor patients progression and effectiveness of the intervention programs.
• Participate in patients case consultations and meetings in clinic and schools
• Supervise therapy aides and provide in-service education for staff, caregivers and students on clinical attachments.
• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Degree/ Master Degree in occupational therapy/Speech Therapy or equivalent.
• Required language(s): English
• Preferably at least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Those with required qualification but no experience may apply
