Nutanix engineer

Key Responsibilities:

● Design, deploy, and manage Nutanix clusters (AHV, AOS, Prism) across multiple environments

(production, staging, development).

● Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity planning, and ensure high availability.

● Manage storage configurations and ensure data protection and disaster recovery solutions are in

place.

● Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within Nutanix HCI and related virtualization

infrastructure.

● Implement and maintain automation scripts for system deployment and monitoring.

● Work with vendors and support teams to resolve complex technical issues.

● Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

● Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.

Required Qualifications:

● 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years focused on Nutanix HCI.

● Hands-on experience with Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism Central/Element, and Nutanix

Files/Objects.

● Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies (AHV, VMware, Hyper-V).

● Solid knowledge of networking, storage, and data protection concepts.

● Proficient with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.

● Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prism, Splunk, Zabbix, Nagios).

● Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, HYCU).

● Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or higher certification.

● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

● Knowledge of security best practices in virtualization and infrastructure management.

● Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible or Terraform.
