Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nutanix Resident Engineer to support a mission-critical customer environment. Based in Singapore, this role will function as the on-site technical expert responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the customer's Nutanix infrastructure. The role involves day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, hypervisor support, and client-facing coordination to ensure system stability and performance.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site technical point of contact for the customer's Nutanix infrastructure.
  • Perform Day 2 operations, monitoring, and maintenance of Nutanix environments.
  • Provide Level 1 support for Nutanix Database Service (NDB), specifically supporting Oracle and SQL environments.
  • Guide and assist the customer's DBA team on NDB interface usage and operational workflows.
  • Monitor, manage, and maintain AHV hypervisor environments to ensure performance and stability.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and virtualization-related issues across Nutanix and supporting systems.
  • Support Windows Server administration and related infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer's IT teams to optimize configurations and implement best practices.
  • Document configurations, incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
  • Provide regular operational updates and technical feedback to both internal stakeholders and the customer.
  • Travel to customer sites as required to support operational and project activities.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 26 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or enterprise system support roles.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with hypervisors such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with AHV hypervisor environments.
  • Level 1 support knowledge for Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Windows Server administration experience.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Nutanix certifications (e.g., NCP, NCAP).
  • Experience with Nutanix Database Service (NDB).
  • Background in supporting enterprise-level IT environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices.
