Requirements:
- NITEC in Community Care & Social Services
- NITEC in Nursing
- Certificate in Healthcare Support - Patient Care from HMI Institute of Health Sciences
- WSQ Certificate in Therapy Services, along with relevant experience in nursing care roles such as Patient Care Assistant, Therapy Assistant, or Porter
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Responsibilities:
- Assist doctors and registered nurses with basic procedures and treatments under supervision
- Perform basic nursing duties such as wound dressing document, monitor, and record residents observations and vital signs, and promptly report any changes to the registered nurse
- Supervise and assist residents with their daily needs, including personal grooming and other daily living activities
- Accompany residents during outings and medical appointments
- The Nursing Aide will report to the Head Nurse
Work Location
The Welfare Homes provide care for destitute persons, and the work location will be either Bukit Batok, Admiralty Street, or Buangkok Green.
- Acacia Home is a seven-storey facility with a capacity of 250 beds, catering male destitute persons. The workplace is located at Admiralty Street.
- Bukit Batok Home for the Aged is a three-storey facility with a capacity of 195 beds, catering male and female destitute persons. The workplace is located at Bukit Batok.
- Tembusu Home at Pelangi Village is a seven-storey facility with a capacity of 190 beds, catering male destitute persons. The workplace is located at Buangkok Green.
- Thuja Home at Pelangi Village is a four-storey facility with a capacity of 239 beds, catering to female destitute persons. The workplace is located at Buangkok Green.
