We are looking for a Clinical Educator (SNB Registered) to join our team and lead the educational activities for our current nurses and academic nursing program for our current and future nursing students.
Responsibilities include teaching nursing students/ nurses, reviewing educational material, and documenting the progress of students/ nurses throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Align nursing education with organizational and national policies.
- Analyze and report training utilization rate, evaluation and assessment outcome.
- Collaborate with Chief Nurse in the planning of staff development activities and continuing education in the unit.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to assess and evaluate training effectiveness of professional development programmes.
- Co-ordinate the administration of all sponsored local and overseas courses, conferences/ seminars/ symposiums and attachment programme.
- Develop and implement nursing training and development programs based on individual qualifications and within the scope of responsibility and authority.
- Design and conduct competency skills assessment for clinical educators in critical supervision, classroom teaching and lesson planning.
- Ensure optimal clinical instructors to student ratio for effective learning and quality patient care.
- Facilitate and monitor clinical supervision of clinical and nurse educators to ensure the delivery of safe and quality healthcare.
- Manage the nursing education department and clinical education standards according to the Singapore Nursing Board's Standard for Clinical Education.
- Monitor students performance and address issues with nursing supervisors and educational institutions.
- Assume other responsibilities as directed by the Chief Nurse.
Requirements
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) is necessary
- Attained Master of Education or equivalent.
- Advanced Diploma/ Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Instructor, Nurse Education or relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in management/ leadership in a healthcare setting or 3 to 5 years as a Nurse Educator.
- Minimum 10 years of post-registration experience, including working in a supervisory capacity.
