Responsibilities

  • Own overall NPI project execution from RFQ, EVT, DVT, PVT through mass production release.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Test, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
  • Drive customer design transfer, BOM validation, DFM/DFT reviews, process readiness, and manufacturing qualification.
  • Establish and manage NPI schedules, milestones, risks, and action item closure.
  • Lead First Article (FA), PPAP, pilot build, and production readiness reviews.
  • Ensure tooling, fixtures, test stations, materials, and manufacturing documentation are ready for production.
  • Coordinate engineering changes (ECO/ECN) during NPI and ramp-up phases.
  • Monitor NPI KPIs including schedule adherence, FPY, yield improvement, FA closure, and launch readiness.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for NPI-related issues.
  • Interface directly with customers on technical, quality, and project execution matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 8–15 years EMS/OEM manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum 5 years leading NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, or Product Engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of PCBA, box build, DFM, DFT, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, FA/CA, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience managing customer projects and factory readiness from prototype to volume production.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
