Job Description

NPI Buyer (Ref: 37759) , Central East

Our client is a well-established multinational company in the electronics manufacturing sector, renowned for delivering high-quality solutions to global clients. They are currently seeking an NPI Buyer to join their esteemed organisation.

【 Responsibilities 】

- Support procurement activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from the initial prototype and build stages through to production transfer.

- Collaborate with program, engineering, material planning, sourcing, and commodity teams to manage NPI material requirements and project schedules.

- Source and purchase electronic, mechanical, and other manufacturing components while obtaining competitive quotations and negotiating pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.

- Expedite materials and maintain close supplier follow-ups to ensure NPI build schedules are met.

- Proactively identify material shortages, supply risks, and long-lead-time components, driving effective mitigation actions.

- Manage purchase orders, monitor delivery commitments, and track supplier performance.

- Facilitate the transition of materials and purchasing activities from NPI to mass production while maintaining accurate data within the ERP system.

【 Requirements & Preferences 】

- Diploma in Supply Chain/Buyer or relevant discipline

- At least 3 years of experience as a buyer / full spectrum of purchasing in an EMS environment for PCBA, box-build, and wireharness, or in a high-mix / low-volume and fast-changing manufacturing environment

- Experience in NPI projects, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight NPI schedules.

- Sound hands-on and working knowledge in ERP/MRP systems

- Excellent communication in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin stakeholders

- Strong supplier negotiation, expediting and material management skills.

- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Program, Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain teams.
