NPD Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting multiple global New Product Development Projects through the NPD Stage Gate Process

o Solid understanding of NPD Stage Gate Process

o Assures all Quality Assurance NPD deliverables and activities are understood / completed

o Actively participate in NPD Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) meetings / activities

o Collaborate with Design Engineering to define measurement methodology for critical dimensions and specifications (incorporate into Receiving Inspection documentation)

o Supplier Quality - Work with vendors to assure there is a solid understanding of requirements

o Lead product Qualification efforts (include components, materials, and vendors)

o Lead Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and support Design FMEA (where applicable)

o Prepare Control plans, inspection documentation and Quality Plans.

o Facilitate PPAPs and Customer Approvals

o Support NPD activities as assigned

o Assure the successful transition of new products into production

. Responsible for continuous improvement of processes and procedures

. Supplier Quality Management - conduct supplier audit for NPD components (where applicable).

. Training and communication - Train internal team and supplier on quality standard, inspection criteria and NPD quality requirements. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on quality expectations.

. Additional duties & responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

Requirements:

. Degree in Engineering or Science with at least 3 years of QA Engineering experience

. Strong knowledge of New Product Development Stage Gate Process and NPD Tools

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated success in applying lean or six sigma tools.

. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
