Job Summary
Drive hotel sales growth by developing leads, managing accounts, and executing strategic marketing activities to maximize revenue and maintain competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop lead sources by prospecting, generating referrals, tracing files, and making cold calls to expand the client base
- Achieve and exceed personal sales targets monthly, quarterly, and annually through proactive account development and maintenance
- Conduct site inspections with prospective and existing clients to showcase hotel facilities and secure bookings
- Design and implement innovative sales strategies, tactics, and action plans tailored to the account base to increase revenue
- Manage all incoming leads for guest room bookings and meeting/catering functions, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up
- Quote and negotiate prices within established parameters to close deals with potential and existing clients
- Prepare and finalize contracts for clients to formalize agreements
- Communicate event details professionally and promptly to relevant departments via memos, emails, banquet event orders, directives, and rooming lists
- Lead pre-conference meetings to ensure all key departments understand event requirements and logistics
- Maintain on-site visibility during events to serve as the primary client liaison and ensure smooth execution
- Conduct post-event follow-ups to resolve issues and encourage repeat business
- Build and sustain strong business and social relationships within the industry and participate in PR activities to generate new sales leads
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Sales, or Marketing
- Minimum 4 years of relevant sales experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software to support sales and administrative tasks
- Demonstrated strong communication skills in client interactions and negotiations to secure business
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and consistently meet sales targets
- Understanding of sales strategies and account profitability to optimize revenue generation
- Confident, enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude fostering collaboration and client engagement.
