Responsibilities And Tasks
- Perform system level failure analysis of customer returned products.
- Analyze logs, test data, and device behavior to identify failure modes across firmware, NAND, controller, or system interaction.
- Identify the failure mode and summarize the analysis at the electrical and physical level.
- Design and execute targeted experiments to validate hypotheses and corner cases.
- Work closely with various engineering groups to resolve RMA issues.
- Determine and verify root causes and corrective actions.
- Provide status updates and written FA diagnostic reports as well as maintain proper documentation in quality systems and knowledge repositories.
- Maintain technical knowledge of product capabilities and characteristics.
- Serve as a technical resource for customer facing engineers and will provide training and consultation when necessary.
- Perform additional testing, data collection and receiving processes as needed based on availability of site resources.
- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabledenhancements within one's scope of work.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field
- 3-6 Years of Experience in working with Non-Volatile Memory System products such as Solid State Drives(NVMe) and/or Managed NAND products (UFS or eMMC) would be an advantage
- Hands‑on experience with failure analysis, debug, and test methodologies.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, SQL‑based systems, Tableau/JMP).
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, assembly, and test flows
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability with structured root cause thinking.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize multiple RMAs, and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate and influence across cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
