Position Overview

The position performs operational shift duties on a 24x7 customer technical support centre by providing 1st and 2nd level support on customer reported issues and performing service deliveries.

The position is part of an operation team that works with other teams to ensure proper operation, support, and delivery of services to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • To be part of operational support team which operate a 24x7 support centre to provide technical support over phone and ticketing system.
  • To be part of operational support team which perform routine on maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting on servers, operating systems and applications related issues.
  • To be involved in service delivery and providing managed services in the areas of system administration and applications such as web, database, and email systems.
  • To perform investigation and troubleshooting to all the reported issues and make sure that all problems and requests are handled properly and resolved.
  • To follow and comply with routines, processes and procedures.
  • To escalate problems to senior or manager whenever necessary for resolution.

Requirements:

  • Higher Nitec, Diploma or Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
  • Prefer candidates with working experience IT service and support industry.
  • Knowledge of network, cybersecurity, Linux and Windows server operating systems, web and email hosting technologies would be an advantage.
  • Have good problem analysis and solving skills in troubleshooting and resolving cases or problems.
  • Have very good English verbal and written communication skills in handling customers.
  • Learn quickly, takes initiative, works in a systematic and methodical and orderly manner.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to different customers, varying tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Willing to work in a shift schedule environment, including weekend and public holidays.
