The NPI Engineer will play a key role in the experimental development, validation and scale up of reverse osmosis infinity (ROI) technologies. This role is highly hands-on, focusing on laboratory experiments, pilot testing, data-driven optimization and scale up from
bench to pilot to commercial systems. The position bridges fundamental process understanding with practical engineering for first-of- a- kind deployments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experimental research & testing
- Design and execute laboratory and pilot scale experiments for ROI process
- Conduct experimental studies on membrane performance, fouling, scaling and recovery enhancement under
- challenging feedwater conditions.
- Develop experimental protocols, test plans and operating parameters for new ROI concepts.
- Collect, analyze and interpret experimental and field data to guide process optimization.
- Process development & scale-up
- Translate experimental findings into scalable process designs and operating strategies
- Support scale-up from lab to pilot to full scale commercial systems, identifying and mitigating scale up risks
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), mass balances, recovery projections and performance models for ROI
- applications
- Support pilot plant design, commissioning, operation and troubleshooting technology validation and deployment
- Support technology validation programs and first-of-a-kind commercial installations
- Work closely with various teams, including project execution teams to ensure successful transfer of ROI technologies from NPI to standard engineering
- Confirm performance guarantees and operating limits based on experimental and pilot data
- Cross functional collaboration
- Collaborate with various team members, including process engineers, control engineers and mechanical engineers
- Support customer-facing technical discussions, proposal development and performance benchmarking
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering or related field
- Hands-on experience with RO test rig, pilot plants and experimental data analysis is strongly preferred
Skills & Attributes
- Strong experimental design and data analytical skills
- Comfortable working in lab, pilot and field environments
- Curious, detail oriented and driven by experimental evidence
- Willingness to travel to pilot and customer sites
