New Business Development Assistant Manager & Manager

Our company is seeking talented individuals who can lead new business development and investment initiatives to create diverse business opportunities-not limited to real estate-across Southeast Asia and drive sustainable growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end execution of new business initiatives through M&A, joint ventures (JV), and strategic investments-from sourcing opportunities to execution and commercialization.

This is a highly autonomous position where you are expected to identify opportunities independently and drive business creation by engaging both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Creation of New Business Opportunities

- Identify and explore business opportunities across Southeast Asia (e.g., Singapore, India, Philippines, Malaysia)

- Define investment themes through industry and market analysis

- Originate new projects in real estate, environmental sectors, timber-relatedbusinesses, and other high-growth industries

2. Investment & Deal Execution (M&A / JV)

- Source, evaluate, and execute M&A transactions

- Structure and negotiate joint ventures (JVs)

- Design investment structures, perform valuation, and conduct due diligence

- Prepare investment proposals and support decision-making for internalinvestment committees

3. Business Launch & Execution

- Lead post-investment business setup and PMI (Post-Merger Integration)

- Build and manage relationships with local partners and management teams

- Develop and monitor business plans

4. Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate and report to headquarters in Japan

- Collaborate with external partners (companies, financial institutions, advisors, etc.)

Qualifications

[Required]

- Bachelor's degree or higher

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in M&A or JV structuring

- Strong knowledge of investment, business development, and corporate finance

- Business-level proficiency in English

- High level of initiative and strong motivation for business creation

[Preferred]

- Native or business-level Japanese proficiency

- Business experience in Southeast Asia

- Knowledge of real estate, environmental, or forestry/timber industries

- Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or private equity

Compensation

Assistant Manager: SGD 3,000 - 6,000 (with future promotion potential to Manager)

Manager: SGD 4,000 - 7,000
