Job Responsibilities
Conduct newbuilding surveys on ships and mobile offshore units inaccordance with applicable rules, regulations, and classification requirements.
Ensure the smooth execution of projects by working closely with the Project Manager and on-site Project Team members.
Maintain proactive, clear, and professional communication with shipyards and owners representatives.
Manage a portfolio of customers and collaborate with colleagues globally to address client needs and follow up on ongoing activities.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance on regulatory requirements within the maritime industry and supporting their business development.
Perform all duties with a strong safety mindset, ensuring compliance with safety standards and due regard for personal and others safety.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering.
10 to 15 years of professional experience in the maritime industry, preferably within classification societies and shipbuilding.
Holding a surveyor qualification from an IACS member classification society is preferred.
Strong team player with the ability to work independently and manage surveys autonomously.
Physically fit to perform job-related activities, including climbing ship-side pilot ladders and entering tanks or confined spaces.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English.
