The Network / Firewall Engineer will be responsible for managing patching activities and vulnerability remediation across network and security infrastructure. The role involves ensuring system stability, security compliance, and efficient execution of firmware and patch upgrades.

• Administer and support network and firewall environments, including technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, F5, and similar platforms.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute patch management and vulnerability remediation activities across network and security devices.
• Perform patch assessments and recommend appropriate deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot issues related to patching, firmware upgrades, and system performance.
• Execute firmware and BIOS upgrades, including rollback procedures when required.
• Utilize patch management tools (e.g., NetBot or similar solutions) for deployment and tracking.
• Automate pre- and post-patching activities where feasible to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Monitor system logs and maintain operational health of network and firewall infrastructure.
• Support network operations including switching, routing, and traffic flow analysis.
• Maintain and manage core network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM).
• Configure and manage access control lists (standard and extended) in line with security policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service reliability and adherence to operational requirements.

• Approximately 810 years of experience in network and firewall administration or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of patch management and vulnerability management practices.
• Experience with network platforms such as Cisco (IOS/IOS-XE), Fortinet, F5, or comparable technologies.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including switching (VLANs, STP, link aggregation) and routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Familiarity with network security concepts including firewalls and access control mechanisms.
• Experience with troubleshooting, incident resolution, and system upgrades.
• Ability to understand and analyze network traffic flows.
• Experience working in environments with defined service levels or operational targets.

• Willingness to support scheduled maintenance activities, including weekends or outside standard working hours when required.
• Availability for on-call support based on a rotation schedule.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
