Network Security Engineer_Contract

• Design, deploy, and manage network security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and NAC
• Monitor network traffic for security threats and respond to incidents promptly
• Perform vulnerability assessments, security audits, and penetration testing
• Implement security best practices for LAN, WAN, cloud, and hybrid networks
• Configure and maintain firewall rules, network segmentation, and access controls
• Investigate and remediate security incidents and breaches
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to embed security controls
• Maintain security documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures
• Support compliance with regulatory and internal security requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC, MAS TRM)
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3-7 years of experience in network and security engineering (adjust as needed)
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S)
• Hands‑on experience with firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco)
• Experience with IDS/IPS, VPN technologies, and network segmentation
• Solid knowledge of security frameworks and best practices
• Experience with SIEM tools and security monitoring
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills
