Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Reliability Engineer (NRE) to support and enhance the reliability, security, and automation of enterprise network infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Network Security technologies and Ansible Automation, with proven experience in designing, automating, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex network environments.
The role requires a reliability engineering mindset with a focus on automation, operational excellence, scalability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Design, implement, and support resilient network architectures following Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) principles.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network and security incidents.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual effort.
- Integrate infrastructure changes into CI/CD pipelines with appropriate testing and validation.
- Define and monitor service reliability metrics, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve network performance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and automation workflows.
Mandatory Skills
Network Security
- Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise network security environments.
- Experience working with next-generation firewalls, secure web gateways, proxy solutions, VPN technologies, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
- Good understanding of firewall policy management, network segmentation, secure remote access, and security best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network security issues in production environments.
Ansible Automation
- Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for network automation.
- Automate network configuration, provisioning, backups, compliance validation, firmware upgrades, and operational tasks.
- Convert operational procedures and standard runbooks into reusable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) automation workflows.
- Develop event-driven and self-healing automation by integrating Ansible with monitoring tools, APIs, and IT service management platforms.
- Implement automated configuration validation, compliance checks, and configuration drift detection.
Technical Skills
Networking
- Strong knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, and data center networking.
- Experience supporting hybrid network environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with public cloud platforms.
- Good understanding of LAN, WAN, VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity concepts.
- Experience with wireless networking technologies is an advantage.
Cloud Networking
- Experience supporting networking services in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Good understanding of virtual networking, routing, network security, VPN connectivity, hybrid connectivity, and cloud network design.
Monitoring & Observability
- Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and network observability solutions.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and proactively identify reliability issues.
Automation & Development
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Hands-on experience using Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and scripting using Python is preferred.
- Experience developing automation tools or dashboards is an advantage.

- 712 years of experience in Network Engineering, Network Security, Network Reliability Engineering (NRE), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
- Professional certifications in networking, cloud, security, or automation technologies are advantageous but not mandatory.
