Join Mercedes-Benz's Global Cyber Security team and make a real impact! We are looking for an experienced Network Project Coordinator - OT Networks to join our team on a 1-year contract, based in Singapore.
In this role, you will plan and deliver network connectivity and cybersecurity visibility initiatives across Operational Technology (OT) and carIT system environments, working at the intersection of cybersecurity, networks, and industrial systems.
Your Impact
This role is critical in enabling end-to-end visibility in OT environments - by onboarding logs, network telemetry, and identity-based access data (e.g., NAC/ Cisco ISE) into centralized monitoring platforms such as SIEM and SOC tools. Your work ensures that OT assets, network activity, and access events are discoverable, monitored, and traceable, while preserving the safety and stability of production systems. This role drives delivery across requirements gathering, OT network design coordination, log onboarding pipelines, firewall and network enablement, and rollout governance, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity, operational, and audit compliance requirements.
Why Join Us
You will work closely with Mercedes-Benz Singapore, collaborating with our talented Cyber Intelligence and Response Centre (CIRC) and global stakeholders across EMEA and NAFTA. This position is offered through an agency and will be fully integrated into our security operations - playing a key role in protecting one of the world's most iconic brands. If you thrive in an exciting international environment and are ready to take your career to the next level, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to onboard logs and telemetry from OT and network environments into centralized monitoring platforms (e.g., SIEM, SOC tools).
- Identify, prioritize and support onboarding of (i) Industrial firewalls, switches, and routers and (ii) NAC platforms (e.g., Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)).
- Ensure logs are normalized, enriched, and mapped to cybersecurity detection use cases.
- Drive requirements collection across OT, cybersecurity, and network teams, translating them into network flows (ports, protocols, zones) and firewall rules and segmentation requirements.
- Drive onboarding and integration of NAC/ISE telemetry into cybersecurity monitoring platforms.
- Maintain high-quality project documentation, including clear status reporting, risk tracking, and executive-level updates.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the primary interface between Cybersecurity (SOC, detection engineering) and network teams (IT and OT), as well as OT/plant engineering teams.
- Lead regular working sessions and status reviews; ensure clarity on decisions, ownership, dependencies and follow-ups.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including executive‑ready summaries.
- Coordinate with external vendors/partners (where applicable) to activate features, align deliverables, timelines, and access requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in IT infrastructure or network security project management (network setup/expansion, firewall changes, connectivity enablement).
- Proven experience delivering log onboarding and SIEM integration initiatives.
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional delivery with Network/Firewall/Security teams and application owners.
- Hands-on experience coordinating firewall rule lifecycle activities (requirements validation, approvals, implementation scheduling, verification, and documentation).
- ITIL certification (foundation or higher) and demonstrated experience working within formal change management and ticketing processes (ServiceNow preferred).
- CCNA certification preferred; CCNP is a strong advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams, dependencies, and change windows in global/regional environments.
- Primary delivery focus is APAC, with coordination across other regions as required.
- Nice to have: Exposure to automotive/connected car environments (CarIT), OT/IT interfaces, or high-availability service operations.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of firewall technologies and processes (e.g. Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco/ASA), including rulebase concepts such as zoning, objects, policies, logging.
- Solid grasp of network security principles such as segmentation, least privilege, secure administration, and auditability.
- Ability to interpret connectivity requirements and validate them via evidence (packet flow validation, connectivity testing, troubleshooting with logs and traces as available).
- Solid documentation skills including traffic flow matrices, diagrams, implementation runbooks, and as-built records.
- Experience with project delivery and reporting tooling such as MS Project, Jira/ServiceNow (or equivalent), and MS Office for reporting.
Soft Skills
- Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to drive alignment across multiple teams with competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; with the ability to translate technical constraints into clear delivery decisions.
- Structured problem-solving approach, strong follow-through, and confidence in escalation when needed.
- Ability to work independently and deliver in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Additional Information
- Valid Singapore work visa required.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
