We've been engaged by our client, a telecommunications provider in Singapore, to find an experienced Network Operations Engineer to lead the support for their platform that keeps home broadband and fixed-line services running reliably.
Our client is undergoing a significant transformation across 5G, Cloud, Cyber Security, and next-generation home networks, and this role sits at the heart of keeping their core consumer services stable while that transformation happens. If you have a strong background in mission-critical operations and want to step into a role with real ownership and visibility, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
You'll take full accountability for the performance, availability, and lifecycle of a platform supporting thousands of home broadband and fixed-line connections. This includes:
Platform Performance & Reliability
- Owning uptime, resilience, and service quality against KPI and customer experience targets
- Identifying operational risks early and driving corrective action
- Managing the platform lifecycle end-to-end — design, implementation, upgrades, decommissioning
Incident & Change Leadership
- Leading decision-making during major incidents and high-risk changes
- Governing change, patch, and configuration management processes
- Driving root-cause analysis and permanent fixes, not just quick patches
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Holding vendors accountable against SLAs and contracts
- Acting as the key operational point of contact across internal teams during incidents, audits, and major initiatives
Security & Risk
- Ensuring compliance with security policy and regulatory standards
- Overseeing vulnerability management, access reviews, and penetration testing
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Driving automation across deployments, monitoring, and operational processes
- Keeping documentation and SOPs accurate and consistently followed
Team Leadership
- Coaching and developing a team supporting a 24x7 mission-critical environment
- Ensuring robust on-call and standby coverage
- Managing frontline support and escalating effectively to specialist vendor teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years in IT operations, service assurance, or platform management in a live production environment
- Proven experience managing 24x7 mission-critical systems against strict SLA and availability requirements
- Experience working across multi-vendor, multi-platform environments
- A track record of owning (not just supporting) incident, change, and service recovery processes
