Roles & Responsibilities
A Network Operations Engineer maintains, monitors, and optimizes an organization's network infrastructure. They ensure maximum uptime, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and respond to network incidents in real-time.
. Network Monitoring & Alerting: Utilize advanced network management and monitoring tools to observe network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and overall system health.
. Incident Management: Diagnose, isolate, and resolve network outages, packet loss, orhardware failures. Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents.
. Maintenance& Upgrades: Schedule and execute firmware updates, software patches, and hardware replacements.
. Security Implementation: Enforce network security measures, including managing firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists.
. Vendor& Stakeholder Collaboration: Escalate unresolved tickets to tier-3specialists and coordinate with external internet service providers (ISPs) or equipment vendors.
