Network Engineer (Routing & Switching) - 1 Year Renewable Contract

Location: Bedok (deployment across Singapore required)
Salary: Up to S$6,300/month X 12 for 1 year project renewable assignment under agency

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer with strong fundamentals in routing & switching to join a dynamic infrastructure team supporting enterprise environments across Singapore.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to end-to-end network design, deployment, and operations in a structured and project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce the requirement documents for simple systems.

- Produces detailed designs including for example: physical and logical network diagrams, traffic flow diagrams and failover diagrams for simple systems.

- Produces detailed designs with guidance from Lead/Architect including for example: physical and logical network diagrams, traffic flow diagrams and failover diagrams for large and complex systems.

- Undertakes complete design of simple applications using simple templates and tools.

- Set up basic infrastructure and associated equipment in accordance to safety and quality standards

- Following agreed procedures, performs simple installations, replaces consumable items, checks correct working of installations, and documents and reports on work done.

- With guidance from Lead/Architect execute the problem isolation tasks to find out the root cause of the issues.

- Perform basic checks and detect problems with infrastructure components

- Correct commonly- encountered errors in infrastructure deployment and decommissioning

- Remove basic infrastructure and associated equipment in accordance to safety and quality standards

- Develops an understanding of the role of testing within system development, as a tool for design improvement as well as a validation process.

- Produce test specifications, test plans with guidance from Lead/Architect. Conduct the tests, validate and record the test results.

Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge in Network Routing & Switching (CCNA or equivalent preferred)

• Min 3-6yrs of Hands-on experience in network installation, configuration, or support

• Basic understanding of:

  • Network design concepts (LAN/WAN, VLAN, routing protocols)

  • Network troubleshooting methodologies

• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams

• Willingness to be deployed across multiple sites in Singapore

• Team player with good communication skills

Nice to Have

• Exposure to enterprise network environments

• Experience supporting network implementation projects

• Familiarity with testing, validation, or documentation processes
