Job Summary

The Network Engineer will design, optimize, and maintain ultra-low-latency network infrastructure for our client's proprietary trading platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in microwave network design, radio frequency (RF) engineering, and high-speed networking, with a focus on minimizing latency for trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design: Design, implement, and optimize high-speed, low-latency networks for HFT connectivity, including RF link planning and site selection.
• Performance Optimization: Conduct latency tuning, network path optimization, RF configuration, and packet-level troubleshooting to maximize trading performance.
• Systems Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot high-performance routing, switching, and network hardware.
• Collaboration: Work closely with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless and efficient network operations.
• Automation & Compliance: Develop network automation and monitoring tools, while ensuring adherence to telecom regulations and spectrum policies.

Job Requirements

• Networking Expertise: At least 2-7 years experience in high-frequency or low-latency networking, with strong skills in microwave networks, RF engineering, and link budget analysis.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in network protocols (TCP, UDP, BGP, OSPF), PTP timing, Linux networking, and network automation (Python, Bash, Ansible).
• Hardware & Tools: Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper devices, network tuning for low-latency, and tools like Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Advanced Knowledge: Familiarity with dark fiber, optical networking, proprietary RF systems, and Cloud Networking (AWS, GCP).
• Industry Experience: Background in HFT, trading infrastructure, or telecom, with strong troubleshooting skills for real-time, production-critical environments.
