Job OverviewWe are looking for a talented Network Engineer to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our organization's network infrastructure. This includes ensuring high network performance, security, and availability to support business operations. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate closely with other teams to deliver efficient and secure network solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Network Configuration & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve network issues, performing regular diagnostics, and providing second-line technical support to users.
- Network Security: Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and other security protocols to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark), analyze data to ensure optimal functionality, and address performance bottlenecks.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of network configurations, changes, and upgrades. Create network diagrams and ensure accurate documentation for troubleshooting and compliance purposes.
- Upgrades & Optimization: Plan and execute network upgrades and optimizations to improve system performance, capacity, and reliability.
- Disaster Recovery: Participate in network disaster recovery planning and ensure backup systems and protocols are in place to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Collaborate with IT teams to align network infrastructure with company needs, and provide regular reports on network performance, incidents, and security.
- Vendor Management: Work with external vendors and service providers to ensure hardware, software, and network services are in line with business needs and expectations.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience in network engineering or network administration.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
- Knowledge of network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access controls.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark, PRTG).
- Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Certification(s) such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Experience with network virtualization or SD-WAN is a plus.
