50% Network Operations (L2/L3):

• Serve as the trusted escalation point for complex network incidents, providing critical Level 2 and Level 3 support.
• Ensure the high availability and security of client network infrastructures, rapidly diagnosing and resolving issues across routing, switching, security, and wireless platforms.
• Conduct proactive network monitoring and performance tuning to identify and address bottlenecks before they impact users.
• Manage network changes according to established change control procedures and conduct regular maintenance windows.

50% Project Leadership & Deployment:

• Lead the execution of diverse network projects, managing the entire lifecycle from initial technical design and planning through to final configuration and handover.
• Perform hands-on configuration, deployment, and seamless integration of new network technologies, including SD-WAN and advanced Firewall solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for procurement, scheduling, and high-level technical resolution.
• Maintain and update network documentation (diagrams, procedures, inventory) to ensure accuracy and compliance across all client environments.

skills and experience required
Mandatory experience working as a Network Engineer within a Small or Medium-sized (SME) IT Services/Managed Services Provider environment.

Proven expertise in L2 and L3 network maintenance and troubleshooting.

Deep understanding and hands-on experience with routing protocols, specifically Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).
