Overall Role and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day network operations, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.1
- Install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP servers.1
- Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved in network installation.1
- Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to optimize network efficiency and security.
- Support the deployment and management of Cisco SD-WAN solutions to optimize network traffic and enhance connectivity.
- Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and arranging scheduled upgrades.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve network performance and reliability.
- Develop and manage switching and routing Access Control Lists (ACLs).
- Configure Palo Alto firewall rules to enforce network security policies.
- Configure Cisco wireless solutions to ensure reliable connectivity and coverage.
- Manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and ZPA VPN solutions for secure remote access.
- Create and validate Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) policies.
- Implement AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting), Dot1x, and TACACS+ for secure network access control.
- Report network status and performance metrics to key stakeholders.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Cisco CCNP certification & Palo Alto PCNSE are required. Good understanding of network systems, including network architecture, routing, switching, firewalls, and security principles.
- Desired Skills: Cisco SDWAN, Palo Alto Firewall and Zscaler experience.
